“Small hinges swing big doors.” My coaching mentors say this all the time. But, what does it mean? Small changes can make a big impact. You don’t have to do everything all at once. Taking small steps that stick is the key to successful habit change. Start with 1 or 2 actions that are achievable, meaning you can get them done in a week. Check your progress the following week, and if for some reason you didn’t get those actions done, DO NOT JUDGE YOURSELF. You’re human and things happen. Instead, examine what got in your way and work on fixing it so you can complete your action step(s). And then, keep building on that progress. If you keep adding small action steps in a steady manner, you’ll make solid, sustainable progress on reaching your goal.
Sounds easy, doesn’t it? You CAN do this on your own, but having a coach to hold you accountable and help you figure out what may have gotten in your way might make it easier. I’m here to help if you need it. Find me on Love2Coach.
